Permanent enchantment and invincible character in Oblivion.
To permanent enchant an effect onto your character first enchant an item with the effect you want on your character permanently, then item dupe that piece of armor, clothing, ect so that you have two or more of the same exact thing, then equip one of them leaving the other in your inventory, if done correctly up to this point when you try to equip the copy of the item you are wearing it should say "Unable to equip the enchanted item at this time" or something to that effect, now then, re-dupe the one copy of the item you are NOT wearing, if this is done correctly it should un-equip the other copy you already had equipped and the effect on the enchanted item should now be permanent and viewable from the "status effects" page in your inventory even when you have nothing equipped. To create an invincible character basically just permanent enchant effects like Shield or Reflect Damage untill either is at 100%, Reflect is most effective because not only will you receive no damage but every time you are attacked the attacker takes his/her own damage. You could also use Chameleon for an invisible character rather than one that takes no damage.
